MARIA BAINDURASHVILI
 

Growing up in a circus family of Dutch and Georgian origin, she spent her younger years travelling around Europe. At the age of 15, she participates in Codarts circus arts' preparatory training programme for two years. At the age of 17 she leaves to Italy to study at the circus school Flic in Turin, two years later (after finishing school) she moves to Barcelona to continue her artistic development there. She gains various work experience both on stage as a performer, as a teacher for circus classes and workshops. In 2022, she starts a company with three friends from Flic, ‘Recircles cirkus’ and in 2023 she starts the company: ‘Scardinati’ together with Tommaso. Currently, she is part of a training programme for contemporary dance: Platz 14 in Palermo and performs between the Netherlands and Italy.
